If he said, "I don't want to go to school,"
I'd say, "Sorry. You have to."
If he said, "I'm too tired to get up,"
I'd say, "Me, too. Guess we need to get to bed earlier."
If he said, "I hate school,"
I'd say, "I am very sorry to hear that."
But what if he says,
"School feels like torture.
They make us sit still all the time, all day long.
That's not what kids are supposed to do.
Kids need to be free."
I wonder what I would say then.
