Writing poems is all about
stepping into awareness of the moment,
because you have to in order
to find the words to describe it.
That's what's so grounding for me.
Not that I write poems.
I'm saying if I did, that would be why.
I write sentences.
But it's the same with sentences, probably.
I'm not trying to convince
you to write poetry,
but I really truly believe
that you should write poetry.
And sentences.
